Tom Wlaschiha synchronizes the main character in the “Toy Story” offshoot “Lightyear”. It’s not his first speaking role for Pixar.

Tom Wlaschiha (48) lends his voice to the main character in a new animated film from Pixar. The actor voices Buzz Lightyear. “Lightyear” tells the story of the young space ranger whose mission is to take him to the edge of the universe. After Pixar films like “Soul”, “Luca” or “Rot” recently started exclusively on Disney + in Germany, “Buzz Lightyear” is coming back to the cinema. The start is currently planned for June 16, 2022.

Tom Wlaschiha: “Game of Thrones” to “Stranger Things”

Tom Wlaschiha has been internationally positioned as an actor for some time. The actor, who was born in Dohna, Saxony, has also been known outside of Germany since his role in “Game of Thrones”. He played in productions such as the series “Jack Ryan” and can also be seen in the new season of “Stranger Things” in 2022.

“Lightyear” is also not the first Pixar film for which Wlaschiha was active as a voice actor. In the German language version of “Arlo & Spot” from 2015 he spoke the character Forrest Woodbush.

In addition to Wlaschiha, Walt Disney Germany has also announced Aminata Belli (30) as spokeswoman for “Lightyear”. The presenter lends her voice to an officer on Buzz’s team.
