Tom and Bill Kaulitz are both multi-millionaires. In their podcast, the two talk about what they would do for a million euros – and put their foot in it.

The Kaulitz twins Tom and Bill don’t have to worry about money. Her band Tokio Hotel has sold millions of records and is one of the most commercially successful music groups in Germany – and one can assume that some of this income went to the brothers’ account.

In the “Kaulitz Hills – Mustard from Hollywood” podcast, the two 32-year-olds had to think about the tiresome topic of money. A listener asked how the musicians would decide: “One million euros, but you always have a stone in your shoe. One million euros, but you can never wash your hands again, or one million euros and you can never go to the toilet again close the door, it stays wide open.” And the musicians put their foot in it with the answer.

A million euros? Not a lot of money for Tom Kaulitz

For average earners, the question should not be that easy to answer, after all, one million euros sounds like an enticing sum, for which one would also be willing to endure some inconvenience. Tom Kaulitz sees it differently: “You know what, a million euros, that’s a bit of a problem for me. I thought about what you want to do with a million …” he answered the question asked .

So one million euros isn’t enough money? Even Bill Kaulitz noticed that this view is somewhat privileged. “That’s completely wrong now, you’d better cut that out,” he advised his brother, laughing. But he himself would not agree to such a deal. After taxes are deducted, there is not much left of the million anyway, and life has become expensive, Bill justified his answer. “You don’t have to justify that that’s not a lot of money in your circumstances – others would chop off their hands,” Tom showed understanding.

Listeners criticize the arrogance of the Kaulitz twins

Many fans of the musicians reacted less understandingly. In times when people are even getting into serious financial difficulties due to the increased cost of living, the statements seem as if the Kaulitz twins had lost touch with reality. Some listeners accuse them of arrogance. “You’re from the GDR, aren’t you? You should have learned to save there,” comments a user on Tom’s answer. “Sometimes you forget how different your life is. So for 1 million a stone in the shoe would not be a problem for me,” writes another. One fan claims he would even “carry a whole heap of stones in his shoe” for €1m.
