At the fifth World Cup in Innsbruck, Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt (Berchtesgaden / Königssee) secured the best position with fourth place on Saturday. “We just didn’t drive nicely, you don’t need to talk about it today,” said Arlt. The Winterberger duo Robin Geueke / David Gamm came in twelfth ahead of the Thuringians Toni Eggert / Sascha Benecken (13th). “We always have close races in Innsbruck. But today we weren’t able to race for victory,” said national coach Norbert Loch. The Austrians Thomas Steu / Lorenz Koller secured their first World Cup success this winter in front of the Latvian brothers Andris and Juris Sics. Third place went to the Italians Emanuel Rieder / Simon Kainzwaldner.
