A 16-year-old motorcyclist and his 17-year-old passenger were killed in a head-on collision with a car in the Traunstein district.
A 20-year-old car driver started an overtaking maneuver in Tittmoning, but overlooked the oncoming light motorcycle, as the police announced on Wednesday. Due to the force of the impact, the two young people suffered such serious injuries on Tuesday that both died at the scene of the accident.
The young woman was in shock and was taken to a hospital for medical treatment. The total damage to the totally damaged vehicles was around 21,000 euros.
