Kaul with foot problems

European champion Niklas Kaul gave up before the fifth discipline because of foot problems. The former world champion crossed 2.02 meters, then gave up further attempts and left the interior of the stadium. The Mainzer was first treated, then the German association announced the task. With 3271 points, Kaul was ranked 15th in the intermediate classification. Two years ago at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Kaul had stopped a foot injury suffered in the high jump.

Ulmer Manuel Eitel mastered 1.99 meters and is in twelfth place with 3410 points.
