The tragic death of Tijl de Decker adds to the long list of cyclists who have also perished following accidents: Jacopo Venzo, Gino Mäder, Magnus White, are among the latest missing.

Tijl de Decker had a bright future on the horizon. He was due to turn professional next year with Lotto Dstny, and finished fourth in the Belgian U23 championship last weekend. His most significant success will remain that of Paris-Roubaix, after a solo finish after 165 kilometers covered.
