The first half ended 0-0, but remained extremely entertaining. BVB had several good opportunities through Marius Wolf and Marco Reus.

The highlight was a defensive action: Kylian Mbappé outplayed goalkeeper Gregor Kobel and shot at the goal from a tight angle. Niklas Süle slid into the path and took the ball out of the danger zone with one leg stretched out while lying down. “Of course it looks spectacular.”said Süle on DAZN. “I think that you have to prevent it beforehand, I can do it better beforehand.” Once the post saved BVB.

Dortmund wobbles after the equalizer

Dortmund continued to play with pressure after the break and took the lead: Ramy Bensebaini played to Niclas Füllkrug, who released Karim Adeyemi in the middle on the left side of the penalty area. Adeyemi hit the right corner from six meters (51′).

But the lead didn’t last long: BVB initially cleared a cross from Mbappé, but Warren Zaire-Emery picked up the ball and scored to equalize, his shot was slightly deflected (56th). Paris now increased the pace, Mbapppé initially narrowly missed the goal (72nd), then he scored (76th) – but he was just offside. Dortmund is now wobbling, Bradley Barcola was denied by goalkeeper Kobel (78′).

“If we hold the lead a little longer, it will be difficult for Paris”said Marco Reus at DAZN. “In the end it was a fair draw with lots of chances on both sides.”

PSG fans warn their club about ticket prices: “Take an example”

Paris Saint-Germain fans drew attention to a mismatch. While PSG charged BVB fans the maximum price per UEFA rules of 70 euros in the first leg, the PSG fans in Dortmund came to the stadium for 18.50 euros. A banner in the Parisian fan block read: “Guests: 18.50 euros. Paris Saint-Germain, take an example.”

Newcastle United fans had already praised Dortmund’s pricing policy. The Football Supporters Europe fan alliance recently criticized the expensive guest tickets in the European Cup, but German clubs in particular would be an exception, which is primarily due to the availability of standing room.
