“Nord bei Nordwest”: Schönemann directs again

The actor is not only seen in front of the camera. He also works behind the scenes in the ARD crime series – for the second time already.
Actor Hinnerk Schönemann (48) feels visibly comfortable in his new role as a director. “I really like being an actor, but directing is a great asset,” said Schönemann, who is directing an episode of the successful ARD crime series “Nord bei Nordwest” for the second time. “But the spectators can rest assured,” he said. “I will continue to play the policeman Hauke Jacobs.”
The 21st episode, titled “Dasdoppel Lottchen”, which is currently being filmed on the Schleswig-Holstein Baltic Sea island of Fehmarn, is expected to be broadcast in early 2024.
He does not see this double work as a burden, said Schönemann. Basically, he tries to put his stamp on the films. “After all, the viewer should recognize that he is watching a Schönemann film.” However, he has not yet revealed which trick he will use in the new episode.
The NDR crime series has been broadcast since 2014, and the last three episodes in January were watched by around 7.8 million viewers on average.
