Three patients transferred from Occitania to Hauts-de-France hospitals

Solidarity in the other direction. The transfer by plane of three Covid patients in intensive care was organized today from Occitania to the hospitals of Amiens and Lille, announced on Tuesday, the Regional Health Agency (ARS), in a press release. The epidemic resumption in the Occitanie region is causing saturation in the intensive care services.

National solidarity

“In the fall of 2020 and in the winter of 2021, the Hauts-de-France health establishments were able to benefit from interregional and international solidarity with the organization of medical evacuations (…), while the intensive care services in our region were under great tension. The establishments in our region, less affected by the current epidemic recovery, are in turn part of national solidarity ”, specifies the ARS.

The Health Crisis Center of the Ministry of Health has therefore taken the decision, with the agreement of the families of the patients, to carry out these first transfers between regions. “Others (…) could be organized in the coming days for Hauts-de-France, depending on the needs of the Occitanie region and the possibilities of hosting establishments in Hauts-de-France”, notes the ARS. .
