three indictments for thefts with sequestration in Indre-et-Loire

Three men were indicted for several “thefts with violence and kidnapping” committed in early August and early September in Indre-et-Loire, announced Friday the public prosecutor of Tours, Grégoire Dulin. The three men had been arrested by the BRI on September 21 in Tours, Montargis (Loiret) and Châlette (Loiret) at the end of the investigation carried out by the PJ of Tours and DTPJ of Orleans. Two of them are suspected of having entered the home of a 79-year-old pensioner on August 4 in Joué-les-Tours (Indre-et-Loire).

“Under the threat of a knife and a handgun, they were given the values and the secret code of the victim’s bank card and slightly wounded her arm with the knife. They left the scene after having tied her up, also stealing her vehicle, ”the magistrate said in a statement. The retiree had been released by a neighbor, alerted by screams, an hour after the departure of her attackers.

A theft from a Parisian business lawyer

On September 4 in Coteaux-sur-Loire (Indre-et-Loire), the three individuals are suspected of having molested the occupant of a house and “demanded the return of the values present in the house”. From a police source, the authors left the scene with luxury watches and the two luxury vehicles of this Parisian business lawyer. The two vehicles as well as part of the booty had been found the next day on the public road, in the Loiret.

The investigations carried out by the judicial police then made it possible “to formally implicate the three targeted individuals and to retrace their criminal journeys”. The searches following the arrests made it possible in particular “to discover the car stolen from the first victim”. At the end of their indictment, their placement in pre-trial detention was requested by the Tours public prosecutor’s office.
