Three former RN collaborators in the region sentenced for fraud

Three former collaborators of the group of elected Rassemblement National at the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur regional council were sentenced on Wednesday for fraud to sentences ranging from four months to six months in prison, suspended, accompanied by work general interest of 150 hours.

Described as a very close trio, these employees aged 25 to 33 “checked in” their presence, when they were not at the Regional Council, by sharing their connection codes to the local authority’s clocking software. In 2018, an average of 200 hours were thus unduly recorded and not performed by each of them.

Anonymous information at the origin of the investigation

The investigation had started following anonymous information sent on October 3, 2018 to the prefect of police denouncing a fraudulent remote clocking system. Then, Frédéric Boccaletti, president of the RN group at the Regional Council had denounced these facts to the president of this community.

The connection by the investigators of the “demarcation” of their telephone to their alleged presence at the Regional Council had made it possible to confuse the three employees, two of whom were also prosecuted for having taken out rail transport subscriptions using falsified documents in order to get the refund. If they admit having declared their presence at the Regional Council when they were not there, the defendants maintained that they worked from their home.
