07:59: Thousands of Ukrainian soldiers injured in the EU
Thousands of Ukrainian soldiers have been treated in EU countries since the start of the war thanks to the European Civil Protection Mechanism, set up by the European Commission.
In Germany alone, nearly 800 of them have been received, including around fifty in a Berlin hospital, dedicated to muscular and skeletal injuries.
For these patients, the reconstruction is long. They stay on average between 3 and 6 months away from their families, in a daily life punctuated by injections of antibiotics and medical examinations.
