“Me my hero when I was a teenager was Michael Jordan. I wanted to be a basketball player, I wanted to be tall, black, to be American and to play basketball… ”This is the
childhood dream that Thomas Pesquet told our partner Brut, shortly before leaving for space.

Astronaut, so this is not the first profession to which the young Pesquet predestined himself, far from it. He dreamed of it, of course, especially when his father “built him a cardboard rocket”. But he rather imagined himself as an airplane pilot, “especially after seeing Tom Cruise in Top Gun “. And here he was launched into engineering studies, in order to be able to work in aeronautics. One thing led to another, he became an A-320 pilot, then a trainer… and immediately passed an astronaut competition. And after, and after? Well yes, as he confided to 20 minutes, Thomas Pesquet would one day see himself heading for the Moon, and why not after “one foot on the Moon, one foot on Mars” …
