This is how the draw for the quarter-finals in the DFB Cup went – Bayer Leverkusen hosts VfB Stuttgart

At the Sunday, December 10th, begins at 7:15 p.m the draw for the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup. There are no seeded teams. Any of the eight remaining teams can meet anyone.

The coaches of the German U17 world champions Christian Wück and Jens Nowotny draw at the German Football Museum in Dortmund.

The pairings are drawn in the men’s and women’s competitions.

Former national player Nowotny acts as a “raffle ticket” and U17 head coach Wück is the draw manager.

The men’s DFB Cup has been a surprise so far – only three Bundesliga teams are still in the draw.

DFB Cup: Only three Bundesliga clubs left

The biggest sensation is the third division team’s entry into the quarter-finals 1. FC Saarbrücken. In addition, there are VfB Stuttgart, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Borussia Monchengladbach (all Bundesliga), Fortuna Dusseldorf, Hertha BSCthe 1. FC Kaiserslautern and the FC St Pauli (all 2nd Bundesliga) in the competition.

The men’s quarterfinals will take place on the 30th/31st. January 2024 and on 6/7. February 2024, the final will take place on May 25, 2024 in the Berlin Olympic Stadium.

The women will play their quarter-finals from March 5th to 7th, 2024, with the final taking place on May 9th, 2024 in Cologne.
