Dortmund is the new leader of Champions League Group F
This is how BVB gets to the round of 16
Reading time
The Hammer Group F keeps what it promises. After the fourth matchday there is only a three point difference between the new league leaders Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle United in fourth place. AC Milan’s 2-1 win (3rd, five points) against Paris Saint-Germain (2nd, six points) made the already tight constellation even worse.
BVB wins the direct comparison against Newcastle
The fact is: Borussia Dortmund comfortably won the direct comparison against the “Magpies” (1:0, 2:0) and before the final games in Milan (November 28th, 9 p.m.) and against Paris (December 13th, 9 p.m.) all the trump cards are in your own hand.
Even with a win at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, the Black and Yellows can plan firmly for the knockout round and would be guaranteed another ten million euros in bonuses. If BVB loses in Milan, there would be a showdown against Paris at Signal Iduna Park. Even a direct exit for the Terzic team is still possible with two defeats.
