They tell us the film scenes that traumatized them

If Disney rhymes with joy, laughter and naivety, it also rhymes with traumatized children. The Walt Disney Company, which is celebrating its centenary this year, produced a number of classics that have marked several generations. In the cinema, on VHS, DVD and now in streaming, you have inevitably seen one of these films.

And so you may have screamed or even cried in front of it. Maybe you’ve even hidden yourself so as not to see a scene or an entire passage. And if twenty or thirty years after seeing it, you still think about Mufasa’s death or that of Bambi’s mother, know that you are not alone. To celebrate the centenary of the big-eared firm, we asked six people from the editorial staff of 20 minutes to tell us on video the Disney films that traumatized them.

Funny, touching and even surprising, all the testimonies of “Disney trauma” can be found in the video at the top of this article.
