They set their sights on the 208, 308 or 3008. Thieves who had specialized in the theft of Peugeot cars were arrested Tuesday morning in Toulouse by the urban security police. Between the months of December and February, the two lads had thus stolen twenty cars from the underground car parks of residences in the Pink City.
They always operated in the same way, by forcing the door before forcing the electronic unit. Eleven vehicles had been found in municipalities of the agglomeration, with false license plates, sometimes charred after having been used to commit other break-ins.
Thanks to the use of video surveillance and traces left in the cars, the police were able to trace the trail of two men aged 21 and 22, known to their services. One of them had even already been in detention for a month, after being arrested in the middle of the theft of a motorcycle in an underground car park. The other was arrested at his home in the Port Saint-Sauveur district. They went to court on Wednesday for an immediate appearance.
