Feared by the coaches: The team fights!
“The Voice of Germany” has a tough innovation coming up! And that makes the coaches sweat in advance. Because: After the battles, the brand new team fights will be on SAT.1 from November 10th. And they put a lot of pressure on! Here the cards are completely reshuffled.
Brand new: This is how teamfights work
And this is how the new “The Voice” regulation works: In the team fights, each coach sends the same number of talents into the race one after the other and in any order.
The singing then takes place around the so-called hot seats. Whoever casts one at the end of an episode will be in the semi-finals of “The Voice”. There are three teamfights rounds with four hot seats each – so a total of 12 semi-finalists.
The talents who are first in line automatically receive a hot seat. When all four places are filled, things get exciting. From this moment on, it’s time for the fights: Each talent has to compete against one from an opposing team.
The coaches explain the new rules
Unique in the world: Coaches can lose all their talents!
Now the coaches have to proceed tactically: They have to decide which talent from their team will perform. But that is not enough. Together with their talent, they also choose which talent from the already occupied hot seats they want to fight against.
After the singing duel, it’s up to the audience in the studio: They decide by voting which talent gets the hot seat. The other talent is out! Not the entire studio audience votes, but only a block made up of people who have no connection to the talent. So it’s of no use to the talented people for the vote if they bring lots of friends along to support them.
Teamfight mode means: Theoretically, it is possible for a coach to lose all of his talents – or for an entire team to make it to the next round. An absolute novelty on “The Voice” worldwide!
New “The Voice” section: Teamfights replace the sing-offs
Until now, the respective teams only competed against each other in the final. Before that, the individual talents only had to battle each other within the team. The team fights replace the sing-offs that took place in previous seasons. With the new phase, more is demanded of both the talent and the coaches than ever before.
