The people of Munich are used to building sites in the city slowing down traffic. Be it public construction work on the road network, private construction or that of Stadtwerke München: All major construction projects are registered with the construction department and coordinated there so that everything does not take place at the same time and traffic is not burdened more than is absolutely necessary. According to the authority, there is so much need for coordination this year that in many cases it has not yet published the exact construction times and, for example, construction work that will take place in the second half of the year. One thing is already certain: this year, both motorists and users of local public transport will have to be prepared for disabilities – both because of new construction work as well as those that have been in progress for a long time. This shows a first overview of selected projects.
