Protests by farmers despite accommodating the traffic lights

Especially in December, farmers in many places protested planned cancellation of tax relief by the traffic light coalition protests. And these protests have apparently had an effect: the traffic light coalition has now announced that it will partially withdraw the planned cuts for farmers.

Accordingly, the vehicle tax exemption for agriculture should continue to exist. The tax breaks for agricultural diesel should not be abolished in one step, but gradually. However, that is not enough for farmers. Association President Rukwied called it inadequate and said it was at most a first step. The protest week starting on Monday should still take place.
