The new Sky original series “Then You Run” shows how a great summer vacation turns into a dangerous escape from gangsters.
The British thriller series “Then You Run” starts on Friday (July 7th). Sky and on the streaming service Wow. The eight-part miniseries focuses on four friends from London who are targeted by dangerous criminals. The story is based on the German novel “Du” by Zoran Drvenkar, which was published in 2010.
The content
That’s what it’s about: The four teenagers Tara (Leah McNamara), Ruth (Yasmin Monet Prince), Stink (Vivian Oparah) and Nessi (Isidora Fairhurst) actually just want to spend a summer vacation in the Netherlands. But when Tara’s father is suddenly found dead, a dangerous flight across Europe begins for the girlfriends. They have three kilos of heroin on them, which Tara’s uncle Reagan (Richard Coyle) is after. He’s a notorious gangster – but he’s not the only danger for the girls. A serial killer is also on the way.
The actresses
Actress Isidora Fairhurst makes her television debut with this series. The other three main actresses already have some series experience. The Irish Leah McNamara (26) played in “Vikings”. British actress Vivian Oparah (26) became known for her role in Tanya Adeola in the “Doctor Who” spin-off “Class”; British Yasmin Monet Prince (27) played in the action series “Hanna”.
“Then You Run” can be seen in double episodes on Sky Atlantic from July 7, every Friday from 8:15 p.m. The entire season is available on the Wow streaming service.
