Theater: Calypso comedy about Munich, rents and muscular dystrophy. – Munich

Nothing works in Munich without Diridari and Vitamin B. Many have probably had this experience. It becomes even more difficult when, like Alex, you are in a wheelchair with muscular dystrophy and are constantly at odds with the medical service of the health insurance company. Or when, like Alex’ Slovakian nursing assistant Daniela, the rent is constantly being increased. In addition, Daniela’s husband is unemployed. And then suddenly there is the paraplegic Iris, who, like Alex, is interested in ghosts and with whom he falls in love. Together they soon go on a ghost hunt, during which some dead celebrities are resurrected.

You can find out how this ends in “If you want to see the Frauenkirche…”. A “calypso comedy about Munich, rent & muscular dystrophy” by Claudia Kaiser and Martin Lickleder. You know them mainly as musicians from bands like Moulinettes or Sound Of Money and you can see that in their comedy. Half of it is musical – with snappy songs, with Kaiser and Lickleder being supported live by Wolfi Schlick and Stefan Berger. The result is turbulent, socially critical fun, which one would have wished for a little more pointedly in a few places, but which undoubtedly has the heart in the right place.

“If you want to see the Frauenkirche…”, Thurs./Fri., 20./21. April, 8 p.m., KulturBunt, Albert-Schweitzer-Str. 62, Frauenkirche-sehen.de
