He is suspected of having killed at least seven victims in the Toulouse metro between October 16 and 21, the date of his arrest by the police while he was running away from Jolimont. A 23-year-old young man was referred to the prosecutor’s office on Saturday and has since been waiting in his cell for his immediate appearance scheduled for the beginning of the week before the criminal court.
On Thursday, around 4 p.m., he snatched his cell phone from a metro user at Saint-Cyprien station. During his custody, the police made the connection with a theft committed the day before on another traveler at the Mirail-University station and then they exhumed five other complaints describing the same operating mode. Each time, the thief spotted a passenger installed in the train near a landing door and who was using his cell phone. Then he would choose the precise moment to close the doors to snatch the device and flee to the platform.
