The world summit of ultra-trail starts from Chamonix… Follow the crazy 171 km race with us until Saturday afternoon…

07h30: Hello to you Trailix!

Hi everyone, we are delighted to offer you, for the first time ever on 20 minutes, an ultra-trail live. Because obviously, we couldn’t miss this 20th edition of the UTMB which promises to be breathtaking. For those who happen to land by chance on this live (you are welcome), this is the event in absolute Grail mode for most of the 2,300 runners registered to start from Chamonix (Haute-Savoie) at 18 hours. Many of them have the sole objective of being finishers in this merciless 171 km event with 10,000 m of elevation gain. So yes, we’re not here just for a mini evening but for about twenty hours with you, the usual time to win this Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc. We are going to experience the race very closely, being in Chamonix until Sunday, and walking around a bit to first follow the lead of the race on different key spots. And hop, a little preview of the butchery to start, and 46h30 max chrono authorized for Mr. Everybody (uh, not actually).

The main info is that the legends of the UTMB Kilian Jornet and François D’Haene, injured, are not registered for this 20th edition. Two sizeable packages that leave plenty of room for suspense, and perhaps a new tricolor success with Mathieu Blanchard (3rd in 2021, 2nd in 2022), who is one of the favorites. It will also be necessary to reckon with the American Jim Walmsley, the Swede Petter Engdahl and the Englishman Thomas Evans, but also the incredible Courtney Dauwalter, who showed on the Diagonale des Fous, the Western States and the Hardrock, that she was capable of winning a Top 5 in the scratch (general classification, men and women included) historic and totally crazy on this UTMB. So we’re going to have fun, we promise.

>> Come on, join us from 5 p.m. this Friday, with the big start in Chamonix town center at 6 p.m.!
