It took almost 200 baguettes and a lot of organization to meet the challenge. Sunday afternoon, at the Laval racecourse (Mayenne), a strange record was broken: that of
longest sandwich with rillettes from around the world! At the initiative of the departmental bakers federation of 53, this giant snack, made by dozens of bakers, pork butchers and volunteers, finally reached the size of… 81.20 meters long, validated by a bailiff .
We succeeded, The #record of the greatest #sandwich is for @lamayenne !
81.20 m of sandwich #rillettes sold for the benefit of the association les P’tits doudous ❤️
Thank you to the bakers, to the volunteers

According to the bakers’ federation, 196 baguettes and 50 kg of rillettes were needed to make this sandwich, then cut into portions and sold for the benefit of an association. The previous record was set in November 2019 in Tours, thanks to a sandwich of 74.40 meters. That is two meters more than the giant sandwich prepared at Le Mans a few months earlier.
