“The Wollnys” will return at the beginning of March.

The long-running TV hit “The Wollnys” is entering its 16th season on RTLzwei. These families also became known through their own series.
From Wednesday, March 6th (every Wednesday at 8:15 p.m. on RTLzwei), the Wollny family can be accompanied in their everyday lives again. This starts the 16th season of “Die Wollnys – A terribly big family”. It’s not just the extended family that has developed into one of the most famous German TV families.
“The Wollnys – A terribly large family”
The Wollny family has been followed by cameras since 2011. The center of life for family head Silvia Wollny (59), her partner Harald, Silvia’s daughters, their partners and grandchildren is now a house in Ratheim and a holiday home in her adopted home of Turkey. In July 2023, Silvia Wollny became a grandmother for the 18th time. In the new season, a quadruple baptism and a wedding await viewers.
“The Geissens – A terribly glamorous family”
The Geissens present the slightly different everyday family life in their own RTLzwei series. In the 22nd season, Robert Geiss (60), who became rich by selling a sportswear company, his wife Carmen Geiss (58) and their daughters Shania (19) and Davina Geiss (20) take viewers into their glamorous lives. Monaco, St. Tropez, Dubai – the family has many destinations where they regularly stay. The show, which has been broadcast since 2011, also follows her luxury vacations in various countries.
“Daniela Katzenberger – family happiness on Mallorca”
Daniela Katzenberger (37) started her career with a documentary soap. Her journey to the dream of becoming a “Playboy” model was documented by the VOX program “Up and Away – My Foreign Diary”. She was then seen in “Goodbye Germany! The Emigrants” opening a café in Mallorca. In 2010 she received her own soap on VOX: “Daniela Katzenberger – Naturally Blonde”. In 2015 the cat moved to the RTLzwei channel. She has been in a relationship with singer Lucas Cordalis (56) since 2014. As part of her show, she married her then fiancé in 2016. Their daughter Sophia Cordalis (8) was born in 2015. There have already been various forms of her documentary soap, such as “With Lucas in Baby Happiness” (2015), “With Lucas in Wedding Fever” (2016), “With Lucas in Christmas Fever” (2016) and “Daniela and Lucas – The First Wedding Anniversary” (2017). Currently there is the format “Daniela Katzenberger – Family Happiness on Mallorca”. Mother Iris Klein (56) can also be seen regularly there. Sister Jenny Frankhauser (31) also had her own documentary soap with “Jenny & Steffen im Babyglück”.
“Welcome to the Reimanns”
Konny Reimann (68) also achieved TV fame with his family. In 2004, the Hamburg native emigrated to Texas with his family and quickly became Germany’s best-known emigrant. The family was accompanied by the RTL magazine “Extra” and the VOX documentary soap “Goodbye Germany! The Emigrants”. Appearances on talk shows and commercials also made the emigrant with the mustache and cowboy hat famous. In 2013, his own documentary soap “The Reimanns – An Extraordinary Life” followed on RTLzwei and in 2022 “Welcome to the Reimanns” on kabel eins. In it, Konny Reimann and his wife Manu show their life on the Hawaiian island of O’ahu. The two moved there at the end of 2015.
International TV families
Families are not only followed by cameras on German TV. The Kardashians became superstars with their own TV show. The origin of the whole family is Kris Jenner (68). She married the lawyer and entrepreneur Robert Kardashian (1944-2003) in 1978. She had four children with him in 13 years of marriage: Kourtney (44), Kim (43), Khloé (39) and Rob (36). After the divorce, the mother of four married Bruce Jenner, now Caitlyn Jenner (74). With the 1976 Olympic decathlon champion she had Kendall (28) and Kylie (26). In October 2007, the Kardashian-Jenner clan celebrated the premiere of the show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” in the USA. In 2021, the series about the TV family came to an end after 20 seasons. The successor was the series “The Kardashians”, which has been broadcast since 2022.
The first season of “The Family Stallone” started on July 14, 2023 on Paramount+, the second followed in February 2024. The reality show is intended to offer viewers “a seat at the table of one of the most famous families in Hollywood,” according to a statement at the start . The series shows the luxurious everyday life of Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone (77), wife Jennifer Flavon (55) and their three daughters Sistine (25), Sophia (27) and Scarlet (21).
These members of a TV family were also known before their own reality series: The Osbournes were followed by their MTV show “The Osbournes” from 2002 to 2005. Rock musician Ozzy Osbourne (75), wife Sharon (71) and children Kelly (39) and Jack (38) were part of the show, which also discussed alcohol and drug problems of individual family members. Looking back, Ozzy Osbourne said on SiriusXM: “I don’t know how the Kardashians did it for so long. It ended up driving us all crazy.”
