The winter is fading, hopefully the strikes too – economy

Daycare closed, train not running: The life of the Germans used to be easier. When the unions return to the negotiating table, as is the case with the postal service, there is hope for the people.

Usually March is a month of hope. Temperatures are rising, spring is beginning. This year, however, March will be the month of displeasure. Strikes in daycare centers, clinics and local transport make everyday life difficult for many people. And with all sympathy for the concerns of these employees: They don’t have to stop working quite so often. The signs are pointing to an indefinite strike at Swiss Post too. The last-minute attempt to avert this should now become a model for making the wage rounds less onerous for citizens.
