The wacky “Upload” back… A short film on homosexuality in Côte d’Ivoire

There is not only live in life, there is also replay. From YouTube and Netflix to TV channel replays and radio station podcasts, 20 minutes concocts for you every Sunday a list of things to see, or see again, to listen to or re-listen to.

“Upload”, season 2, the return of digital life

The Greg Daniels series (parks and recreation) returns for a season 2 just as wacky as the first. Remember, we left Nathan, a deceased computer programmer whose consciousness was uploaded to a virtual world called Lake View, and Nora, a living “angel” helping him in his new, entirely virtual life. In Season 2 of Amazon Upload, Nora lands in the middle of nature in a community weaned from digital tools where she begins to forget her romance with Nathan. The latter is still stuck in Lake View, invaded by his very possessive ex-girlfriend who has decided to be downloaded too. The digital nightmare can begin.

“Change-color”, the double life of homosexuals in Côte d’Ivoire

In Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Ali, a young gay Muslim, attends the wedding of his lover, Saint, with a woman. There he met Maël, a Frenchman. This one will not be long in understanding the bond which unites the two men and will not hesitate to exert a sexual blackmail on Ali. This is the synopsis of color change, the short film by Stéphane Olijnyk to discover on Arte.tv The title, synonymous with “chameleon”, refers to the way in which homosexuals are forced to resort to a “double life” to conceal their sexual orientation and protect themselves from societal homophobia. The director, who signed in 2018 Ursinhoa short film on the homosexual condition in Brazil, focuses here on the situation of gays in Côte d’Ivoire, a country where homosexuality is not illegal but where gays suffer in particular from the weight of the Muslim and Catholic religions .

President.iel, the candidates respond to feminist and LGBT themes

Two weeks before the first round of the presidential election, the debates are rare. Elise Goldfarb and Julia Layani – behind the podcast coming out– decided to fix it with the original podcast Presidential streamed on Spotify. They invest a field that has been set aside in recent weeks by questioning each candidate on feminist and LGBT themes and on their perception of education. If almost all the candidates have been registered or almost, there remains a question mark on the date of Marine Le Pen and on the participation of Emmanuel Macron. With or without the current president, the podcast could show you the candidates in a different light.
