“The Voice” hammer!
The new round of the universally popular singing show “The Voice of Germany” starts in August. At a press conference, it was now revealed who will then sit on the jury.
In addition to long-established jurors such as Rea Garvey (49) and Mark Forster (39), Silbermond singer Stefanie Kloß (39) is returning to the jury team.
This personality is likely to cause a big surprise: Rock legend Peter Maffay (72) is there. The Tabaluga inventor will also be behind the red buzzer from August.
Maffay: “I’ve always admired how many great talents choose ‘The Voice of Germany’ as a springboard into a career as musicians. I think it’s great that I might be able to help with this, together with my colleagues.”
The superstar continues: “I’m looking forward to good music in good company and many interesting encounters.”
Daniel Rosemann, head of broadcasting at ProSieben and SAT.1, on the new juror: “’The Voice of Germany’ is great family entertainment. And just like ‘The Voice’, our new coach Peter Maffay connects generations: Children grow up with Tabaluga. Grown-ups rock at his concerts.”
Another innovation: “The Voice” changes on Sat.1 from the Sunday to the Friday slot (8:15 p.m.). ProSieben continues to broadcast on Thursday evenings.
The station boss: “With the change of SAT.1 broadcasting to Friday, we are returning to the original programming in the twelfth season of ‘The Voice of Germany’.”
