The winner automatically moves into the final of “The Voice of Germany”: ProSieben starts an offshoot only for rappers.
Rappers traditionally have a hard time with “The Voice of Germany”. With their chanting, they can hardly assert themselves against the singing voices. No hip-hop artist has yet won a season. ProSieben/Sat.1 is now launching an offshoot of “The Voice” that is aimed exclusively at rappers. According to the station group, “The Voice Rap” should come in the second half of 2023 and run parallel to the broadcast of the mother show.

According to the broadcaster’s announcement, two “experienced rap coaches” put together a team in the blind auditions on “The Voice Rap”. A winner emerges from the battles.
The winner of “The Voice Rap” moves into the semi-finals of the parent show running at the same time. So he gets the chance to become “The Voice of Germany” 2023 quite regularly.
The press release does not name names yet. With Sido (42), Max Herre (50) and Michi Beck (55) and Smudo (55) from the Fantastischen Vier, several rappers were already jurors on “The Voice of Germany”.
Young rapper Emma is convincing with “The Voice Kids”
A young rapper is currently causing a sensation in the current season of “The Voice Kids”. 14-year-old Emma delighted the coaches with her version of Eminem’s (50) “Mockingbird”.
Even the US superstar noticed her appearance. At TikTok, Eminem, who otherwise refrains from commenting on the platform, responded to a video of her performance. He posted a smiley face with a raised eyebrow. Fans suspect that this is a benevolent sign.
