The Viennese cabaret philosopher Gunkl in the Munich Lustspielhaus – Munich

Because the Viennese cabaret artist Gunkl alias Günther Paal has been diagnosed with mild Asperger’s syndrome and has little interest in external stimuli such as parties or small talk, he prefers to delve deeper into the more complicated things. And so there is no one else in the scene who can just stand up like him and talk about complex topics with a philosophical or scientific background – and still be very, very funny at the same time.

So for seven years he became the “expert on everything anyway” in Alfred Dorfer’s ORF “Donnerstalk” (in whose accompanying band he also plays the guitar and saxophone), presenter of the ORF cultural program “Kunst-Stücke” and a member of the wild natural sciences group. Cabaret combo Science Busters. But the best, pure Gunkl can still be experienced in his solo programs. His new one with the title “Not only, but only also” is now having its premiere at the Lustspielhaus Germany. He himself describes it as a “pretty disorderly attempt to talk about order.” So it will be about ability, desire and necessity. A must.
