The Versailles rectorate targeted by death threats

After the recent suicide of Nicolas, 15 years old, the rectorate of Versailles (Yvelines) is under fire. So much so that for several days, certain members of its staff have received insults and death threats, learns 20 minutes from consistent sources.

The head of the interacademic legal affairs department at Versailles filed a complaint this Wednesday. These threats are sent to the rectorate’s professional email boxes, or posted on social networks.

All are linked to the death of the teenager on September 5 in Poissy. A year earlier, shortly after the start of the 2022 school year, the young man’s parents had complained to the teaching team at his high school about the harassment suffered by their son. In response, they received a threatening letter from the rectorate, asking them to adopt a “constructive and respectful attitude”.

The Versailles public prosecutor’s office, which had not yet answered our questions, opened an investigation, entrusted to the judicial police.
