The two ski lift unions file an unlimited strike notice for February

Force Ouvrière ski lifts filed an indefinite strike notice on Monday from January 31, according to information from RMC. He thus joins the CGT, which had already deposited him. These two unions represent 100% of the votes in French ski resorts.

Will the ski lifts be operating normally in the month of February? This is the question when the two unions which represent 100% of the votes in French ski resorts have filed an indefinite strike notice from January 31.

According to information from RMC, Force Ouvrière ski lifts filed this notice on Monday, thus joining the CGT, which had already filed it.

“We decided to call a strike during the February holidays, because the demands will be better heard during this period”, explains Eric Becker, general secretary of the ski lifts at Force Ouvrière.

Actions planned during the Ski World Cup

However, it is unlikely that the employees of the ski resorts will be on strike every day, recognize the leaders of the two unions. For the moment, the watchword is to stick to the dates chosen by the inter-union at the national level.

Their demands, however, exceed those of the inter-union, since beyond the withdrawal of the pension reform, they are asking for better wages and unemployment insurance adapted to seasonal workers.

The CGT is also considering “strong actions” during the Ski World Cup in Courchevel and Méribel on March 16 and 20.
