The two detainees who escaped from their cells at the Quiévrechain juvenile penitentiary (North) on the night of Sunday October 1 to Monday October 2, were arrested on Monday in Belgium, the Lille prosecutor’s office said. These minors, aged 17 and suspected of one of murder, the other of rape, “were arrested this evening in Belgium” and placed in police custody, said public prosecutor Carole Etienne.
