The track of an assassination is privileged after the autopsy of the body of a man found charred Thursday in a wood of Thise (Doubs), said Friday the public prosecutor in Besançon Etienne Manteaux. “I will not give more details on this case at this stage of the investigation and will communicate within 72 hours, maximum 96 hours, the time to formally identify the victim”, specified the magistrate to AFP.
The body was discovered Thursday morning around 8 a.m., still in flames, at the edge of a road, by a woman who was walking her dog a little over a kilometer from an equestrian center. The prosecution had opened an investigation for assassination and seized the research section of the gendarmerie.
