Colorful pieces for spring… but what colors?
In decoration as in fashion, “spring” summer season most often rhymes with “colorful creations”. And this year, the least we can say is that we are spoiled for choice! If soft pastels are making a comeback, we also see vibrant colors competing for their place. Have you never known how to decide? Good news: soft colors and intense shades don’t necessarily clash. On the contrary: they even combine to create a contrasting decor, full of fantasy and good humor!
Spring summer 2024: decorative pieces to shop
Textiles, tableware or decorative objects: there are a thousand and one accessories to spruce up the decor and bring our interior into summer time.
To design its capsule collection in collaboration with H&M Home, Pantone chose its camp: lemon yellow, apple green, chili red or gourmet orange… Summer colors full of pep! Candles, tableware and decorative pieces come in shades that are sometimes sweet, sometimes spicy, and always delicious.
To add even more color to the kitchen, go for the Bobbin mill from Addison Ross. Made from solid rubber wood, fully FSC certified, it owes its vibrant colors to its finish: no less than 8 layers of glossy lacquer. The hardest part is choosing your color. Maybe you can go with a pastel shade for the salt and an intense shade for the pepper?
We no longer present the Panthella lamp, a lighting fixture created by Verner Panton for Louis Poulsen in 1971: it is undoubtedly the most iconic creation of the Danish designer. Here it is reissued in a mobile LED version with variable intensity. If the technology is more contemporary, the look of this lamp remains faithful to the original. To bring spring into the living room, we rely on the key piece of the season: a rug that attracts all eyes. With its wave pattern and vibrant indigo blue color, the Haya model spotted at Maisons du Monde really has it all. This tufted rug with its bright contrast is original without overdoing it. Canon with a colorful sofa, very effective in waking up a very wise gray sofa: it really knows how to do everything.
Does the slush mean something to you? It is this ceramic relegated to the status of kitsch piece that made our grandmothers happy. We’re not going to lie to each other: finding a school chair and customizing it to bring it up to date, we don’t always have the time, the know-how… or the talent! On the other hand, a French brand does this very well: it is Les Gambettes, obviously.
