The TAT studio will design Alain Chabat’s Asterix animated series for Netflix

Young and old know them thanks to Maurice the improbable tiger penguin of ace of the jungle and his inseparable gorilla, Miguel. The Toulousans from the TAT Prod studio have just been selected to design the animated series Asterix, directed by Alain Chabat, and which will be broadcast on the Netflix platform in 2024.

The Pink City teams will be responsible for the graphic design of five 30-minute episodes, inspired by the album The Battle of the Chiefs by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo.

Enthusiasm of graphic designers

“Usually, we are at the initiative of the works, here we are a service provider, but all the graphic designers are enthusiastic to work both on Asterix, with Alain Chabat, and for Netflix”, indicated Jean-François Tosti, one of the founders of TAT.

After realizing Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra, third best score of all time at the French box office, Alain Chabat is therefore once again looking into the adventures of the “irreducible Gauls”.

This time, the former member of Dummies will be in charge of adapting a story where the druid Getafix loses his mind after receiving a menhir on his head. He will be accompanied by Benoît Ouillon, one of his co-authors for the Burger Quiz television show.
