The suspect taken into custody in the case of the disappearance of Justine Vayrac this weekend in Brive confessed to having killed the young woman of 20 years, learned AFP Thursday, October 27 from judicial sources and close to the file. A body “may match the missing victim” was found in the morning on the land of the farm of the family of the accused, announce sources close to the file to AFP, confirming information from BFM TV. “Formal identification is not officially acquired”indicate these same sources.

A “friendly acquaintance”

The young woman, mother of a two-and-a-half-year-old child, has not been seen since Sunday October 23, around 4 a.m., near a nightclub in Brive, “La Charrette”, where she spent the evening with friends. The suspect, who is a “friendly acquaintance” of Justine Vayrac, according to Émilie Abrantes, would be the last person with whom she was seen before her disappearance.

The respondent is a 21-year-old farmer from a small village in Corrèze. Graduated last year from an agricultural college, he inherited the family farm. A recent farmer, he also works as a carpenter. He is a member of the football club of this rural town of around 1,300 inhabitants, and even went to the match played by his team on Sunday, a few hours after the disappearance of Justine Vayrac, indicated a member of the club who requested the ‘anonymity.

The Limoges prosecutor will hold a press briefing this Thursday at 6.30 p.m. to take stock of the progress of the investigation.
