Pretty cold: What may have sounded like a sigh on Tuesday morning, at around ten degrees Celsius, sounded like praise around noon on Gärtnerplatz. Finally a nice, cold ice cream to be enjoyed under the finally warming rays of the August sun, which finally managed to break through the thick, rain-pregnant cloud cover. And if you can believe the forecasts of the weathermen, who have reliably disappointed us over the past four weeks with the comment “Too cold for the time of year”, then towards the weekend it will be so warm that you could definitely use a double portion of ice cream.
Summer, it seems, is back after its break. And if the ice is no longer able to cool us sufficiently, the only thing left is a dip in the outdoor pool water. Or a cool light beer in the beer garden.
