The station changes its program at short notice due to the attack in Russia

At 8:15 p.m., ARD actually wanted to show a crime thriller as usual. But due to current circumstances, the broadcaster now has to postpone it.

More than 130 people were killed in an attack at a concert hall near Moscow. Masked attackers broke into the packed Crocus City Hall in the Moscow suburb of Krasnogorsk on Friday evening and opened fire. According to the Russian Investigative Committee, the number of deaths rose to at least 133 on Saturday. It was the most serious attack in Russia in over 20 years.

For this reason, ARD changed its program at short notice. On Saturday evening at 8:15 p.m. you can see a “Brennpunkt” entitled “Attack in Russia” on the first. The special edition is moderated by Catherine Vogel.

The 15-minute program will discuss questions such as “Who is behind the terrible attack?” and “Will the Kremlin try to exploit the terrorist act against Ukraine?” be spoken. ARD correspondent Ina Ruck will report on the situation in Moscow and ARD correspondent Vassili Golod on the reactions in Ukraine.

Two crime novels from 2021

ARD actually wanted to show the crime thriller “Steirerrausch” at 8:15 p.m. It will now run 15 minutes later, at 8:30 p.m. The film is the sixth part of the Austrian rural crime film series in Styria. Hary Prinz and Anna Unterberger star in the main roles. “Steirerrausch” was shown on TV for the first time in 2021 and attracted 5.5 million people to their screens.

On Saturday evening, ARD is showing another film, also from 2021: “The Irish Crime: The Disappearance” with Désirée Nosbusch reached 5.72 million viewers. The crime thriller also starts 15 minutes later than planned, i.e. at 10 p.m. instead of 9:45 p.m.
