The State increases its allocation to facilitate the departures on vacation of the most fragile

“Holidays are not just about rest. It is also the moment to get out of everyday life, to discover other horizons, other cultures. The economic difficulties experienced by some households should not hinder these departures, ”claims Olivia Grégoire (Renaissance). Traveling to La Baule and Guérande (Loire-Atlantique) this Friday, the Minister Delegate in charge of Tourism will announce an increase of around 40% in the means granted to the national agency for holiday vouchers (ANCV), one of whose missions is to carry out actions in favor of the departures on vacation of fragile people or people with modest incomes.

Some 3.4 million euros will thus be paid in 2023 by the State to the ANCV, including an additional 1.3 million euros compared to 2022. These credits must “allow 15,000 people to benefit from aid to go on vacation”, indicates the ministry in charge of Small and Medium-sized enterprises, Commerce, Crafts and Tourism.

Renewed aid for Overseas

The objective of this increase in resources is, in particular, to facilitate tourist stays for dependent elderly people and their caregivers, women who are victims of violence, and children protected by the field of child welfare. The resources will also be used to finance “learning camps” for the children of employees or entrepreneurs residing in the priority areas of the city. Some 2,500 children should benefit from it.

Finally, the aid for departures on vacation for residents of the DOM-TOMs, which had been set up on an experimental basis last year, is extended in 2023. Nearly 10,000 beneficiaries are expected, specifies the ministry.
