The Sprengel Museum Hanover is showing an exhibition on the subject of pig culture

In the middle of the “Ocular Witness” exhibition are specimens of Christien Meindertsma’s pink ham “PIG 05049”. This encyclopedia of pork products lists, with double-page photos, 185 things that are obtained from the carcass of the slaughtered animal, none of which is thrown away. Wrinkle cream, fish food, meatballs and photo paper also contain pork products, as do licorice, aerated concrete or vanilla pudding. Tattoo artists also practice on the skinned skin of the domestic pig so that they don’t mess it up on the human surface. And just for the second time, a pig’s heart replaced a human one in a xenotransplantation.
