The Soprano concert will be dubbed in sign language

This is a first for the biggest Breton festival. On the occasion of their 31st edition which will take place from July 13 to 17 in Carhaix, the Vieilles Charrues will offer a concert accessible in sign language. For this premiere, the festival has selected the artist Soprano, who will perform on Sunday July 16 on the Glenmor stage. All of the Marseille rapper’s texts will be “changed” by the collective “10 Fingers on the Run” and broadcast on a giant screen.

This group of sign language interpreters regularly intervenes in the world of music to make these events accessible to deaf and hard of hearing people. Throughout the year, the collective “translates” the songs of the artists by taking into account the text, but also “the rhythm, the music, the instruments, the emotions and the universe of the artist”, explains the festival that promises “an exceptional experience”.

The second biggest festival in France after Hellfest, the Vieilles Charrues will welcome more than 70 artists this year. We will find in particular on the poster the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Spanish star Rosalia, Soprano, Robbie Williams, Blur or Aya Nakamura. There are still three and four day passes for sale as well as tickets for Thursday and Sunday.
