The small French team deprived of the World Cup due to lack of financial support

Qualified for the first time in its history for the World Cup, the French small football team (reserved for players under 1.49m) must give up participating due to lack of money. As reported RMC Sports, the Blues did not receive the long-awaited financial aid to cover their travel costs, estimated at 17,000 euros. The competition, lasting a week, took place this year in Argentina.

“We were not supported by the Ministry of Sports or by the government,” regretted Ayena Adjido, president of the Football PPT France association, on BFMTV. I even contacted Brigitte Macron to ask for her support. She replied to me telling me that the Ministry of Sports would come back to me. He never came back to me. »

The team launched an online prize pool last June, but it only raised 411 euros. For its part, the FFF, also contacted, responded that it could do nothing because the association was not affiliated. The president of Football PPT France hopes that this will be the case in the future and that his team will be able to benefit from more support. The creation of a national championship is also in the works.
