The Russian invasion of Ukraine has the world in suspense. In addition to hundreds of thousands of statements of solidarity on the Internet, what is probably the best-known comic family in the world is also supporting the attacked country. On the official Twitter account of the animated series, the creators released a picture showing Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie with serious expressions and Ukraine flags.
The picture is signed with the name of “The Simpsons” creator Matt Groening (68). The post refrains from further words. Only the hashtags #TheSimpsons, #Simpsons and #Ukraine were set. The tweet, which was posted on Friday, has already garnered more than 180,000 likes and 1,500 replies. The picture was retweeted more than 50,000 times.
