The series “The Outlaws” on ZDF: Magnificent Seven on the scrapyard – Media

Stephen Merchant described “The Outlaws” as a “cheap suburban western.” This Brit’s view of the BBC series he wrote and produced, in which Merchant himself stars, isn’t all that far-fetched. With a little imagination, you could see the six-part series (from this Sunday on ZDF Neo and available in the ZDF media library) as a kind of new version of the “Magnificent Seven”. Instead of being gunfighters, you just have to imagine the seven heroes as a motley group of people in high-visibility vests who do community service together in an English scrapyard for various petty crimes and misdemeanors.
