History is not always fair. The first European head of government, Margaret Thatcher, was in office from 1979 to 1990 and is so firmly anchored in the collective memory that she still appears on television today, sometimes as the “Iron Lady” in the film with Meryl Streep, most recently as a vampire in Pablo Larrain’s film Netflix film “El Conde”. But the third (the second was Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo in Portugal), who, among other things, defined the term “sustainability”, which would make her a contemporary figure in politics, has no nickname and was never played by Meryl Streep. But now Gro Harlem Brundtland, who became Prime Minister of Norway in 1981 and twice more, is getting her own series with several seasons.
