The “Art but fair” association has just filed a criminal complaint against the Salzburg Festival “for serious fraud”. Contrary to expectations, the festival was able to play at the last minute in the Corona year 2020 – in front of a significantly smaller audience and with a changed program. Choral pieces were eliminated, which particularly affected the participation of the Vienna State Opera Chorus, which was left behind. “Art but fair” complains that freelancers in particular did not receive any compensation for the resulting losses, which is the core of the criminal complaint.
