Vladimir Putin announces “partial military mobilization”
The Russian President has just announced, during his address to the nation, that he has signed a decree for a “partial military mobilization” today in Russia, in order to fulfill the objectives of its “special military operation” in Ukraine. “Only citizens who are on the lists of reserves should be mobilized and especially all those who have military experience relevant »said Vladimir Putin.
Putin said that this mobilization of reservists was “fully adapted to the threats we face, namely to protect our homeland, its sovereignty and territorial integrity, to ensure the security of our people and the peoples in the liberated territories”.
Before that, in a violent diatribe, he claimed that “The objective of the West is to destroy Russia”after having “succeeded in breaking up the USSR”. “We looked for peaceful solutions but the West rejected them”he added.
