The Tour de France village, which welcomes guests of the Grande Boucle partners and local authorities every day, is a big machine. To feed this traveling town, the service provider provides 4,500 meals a day distributed in the village, in the caravan and at the finish of the stage.

“A daily challenge”

“It’s a daily challenge for our teams with the difficulty of being in a different place every day,” comments Laurent Hetet, event manager at Sodexo Live, the Tour de France catering partner for 32 years.

“We have a common DNA with the Tour de France, based on proximity and territories”, continues the manager, who evokes a “win-win partnership” between the juggernaut of collective catering, which employs some 4,000 people in France, and the Grande Boucle. This 2023 edition, carried out at full speed, is also a great rehearsal for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where Sodexo Live, present at all the major sporting events, should be there. In the meantime, we will have to finish the tour and feed the village for a few more days.
